Tank for a watermelon nursery, Malaysia

With 20 years of established trust in Southeast Asia, our Malaysian dealer is the perfect partner in the region for installing our water storage systems. Although homebased in the Cameron Highlands, our dealer realizes turn key projects for (greenhouse) growers all across Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Vegetable and fruit sector is also a highly important production sector of Malaysian agriculture. Several districts in the southern part of the Malaysian peninsula are the major watermelon cultivation areas for nationwide distribution.

For one of the watermelon nurseries we delivered a water tank. Watermelon contains 90% water and hence water supply is a critical component in the production of watermelons. With our water tanks water melon fields are not dependant of rainfall supplemental (drip) irrigation can be facilitated.

No less than 36 water storage tanks left our premises last year. They started their journey to one of our Chinese dealers, located in Beijing.

Our dealer has been involved in greenhouse business for more than 50 years and is a leading turnkey greenhouse manufacturerer and exporter in China. Of these 36 ordered tanks 6 of them have found their way to a project in Yangcheng County.

This project comprises a 2 Ha glass greenhouse complex for pot flowers, including a service area of 5000 m2. The water tanks are used for reverse osmosis, for desinfection, for return water and nutrient liquid.

For a former project in the Fars province in Iran, our dealer installed two water tanks for a large plastic greenhouse complex. These tanks will enable irrigation for 8000 m2 of crops, including tomatoes and different kinds of vegetables.

NPI supplied several water storage silos to the Horti Innovation Park in Beijing. The park covers  a total area of ​​about 50.000 m2, including a fruit planting area, a leafy vegetable growing lab, a fertiliser lab, young plants department, an AI flower area, a vertical farming area and several gardens.

The park provides a great demo environment to showcase efficient, green and smart horticulture practices and technologies. The ultimate goal is to lead and enable sustainable growth and development of China’s horticulture sector. Tens of thousands of professional visitors are being expected.

We delivered water storage silos in different sizes to this park. They will serve various areas and departments of the innovation park, contributing to a variety of demo projects and technologies.
