Hydroponics

Hydroponic cultivation requires a stable and reliable water supply of high quality. This is especially important in hot, dry climates like Greece. Our Greek dealer installed six water tanks at a hydroponic grower.

Treated well water

In many parts of Greece fresh water is scarce or seasonal. Water from wells can offer more reliability, but it may vary in quality. Installing water tanks enables treatment before storage. For instance to manage salinity or mineral content. Especially in hydroponics, maintaining a consistent EC and pH is vital.

Capacity

The customer opted for 6 separate water tanks with a capacity of 500 m3 each. This provides scalability and spreads risks, for instance during maintenance. Multiple smaller tanks are also easier to position around existing infrastructure. In addition, each tank can be managed separately; for raw water, treated water, nutrient solutions or buffer storage for different greenhouse zones. This way, the six water tanks offer the grower optimal flexibility.
