At Cyprus the summers are hot and dry. For the cultivation of vegetables, greenhouses help to protect the crops from extreme heat and ensure efficient water management through irrigation systems. In this greenhouse complex, tomatoes and cucumbers are cultivated. A decent water supply is indispensable.
Low height water tanks
Our dealer installed a steel water tank at the complex. There is sufficient space on the site, so a low water tank was chosen, something we recommend when space is not an issue. This tank is 1,52 meter high and has a diameter of 14,63 meter. Low water tanks offer extra stability, the customer benefits from ease of installation and maintenance and a low water tank exerts less pressure on its base and surrounding structure. Obviously there are also situations where high water tanks are the right choice. We have a wide range of sizes tailored to the needs of all our customers, ensuring that there is always a water tank that best fits a facility’s situation.
Superior sheet thickness
This steel water tank has an increased metal sheet thickness of 1 mm. In order to meet the 40% safety factor that our tanks are always designed with, this low height and wide diameter configuration requires a higher metal thickness than the standard thickness of 0,80 mm.
