A dry region
Lagoa, in the heart of the Algarve, is a popular tourist destination. The region receives very little rainfall, especially during the hot, dry summers. Therefore, water use and storage are always a challenge. At the same time, the Algarve attracts large numbers of tourists, and holiday parks and resorts aim to offer green, well‑maintained outdoor spaces with healthy plants, flowers and landscaped areas. That combination makes careful water management essential, as keeping gardens, plants and outdoor areas fresh and welcoming requires a significant amount of water.
Choosing a reliable water storage system
To secure enough water for irrigation of the gardens , this resort in Lagoa installed a metal water tank with a capacity of 121,000 liters. The tank is fully coated, allowing it to blend naturally into the surrounding landscape while offering long‑term protection and durability.
Clean water with a floating cover
On top of the water surface, an ENPI Float Aircover keeps dust, leaves and debris out of the tank. Rainwater can still pass through the cover, so the system benefits from every drop of rainfall while maintaining clean, usable water inside.
