Water tank for olive irrigation in Spain
In the South of Spain, an olive grower needed a reliable way to secure irrigation water. The existing well could not deliver enough flow to irrigate the orchard directly. To support the grower, a dealer coordinated the installation of an NPI steel water tank.
Buffer system for key periods
The olive orchard depends on well water, but the well does not produce the required volume for continuous irrigation. This created a risk of water shortage during key periods, especially during the hot and dry summers in the south of Spain. The grower needed a buffer system that could store water in advance and release it steadily during irrigation cycles. Because this was the dealer’s first order of this type, proper installation guidance was also essential.
Supervision
NPI supplied a steel water tank with a diameter of 22.86 metres and a height of 2.29 metres. The dealer agreed with the customer that he would supervise the installation with his own team. He visited the site twice, installing the mechanical inlet/outlet and assisting with positioning the liner.
Water whenever they need it
The grower now has a dependable water buffer that compensates for the limited well flow. The tank allows irrigation to run at the required rate without interruption.
