Four water tanks

South Lebanon is an important horticultural region where vegetables are grown both in open fields and in greenhouses. The southern areas are known for their fertile soil and favorable climate. Greenhouses in this region currently house primarily tomatoes, bell peppers, eggplants and cucumbers. For a nursery and greenhouse complex, our dealer installed four NPI water tanks. Two of them measure 4.57 x 3.05 meters and two of them measure 6.40 x 3.05 meters. The applied lining material is ENPEX FPP 0.75 mm, and the water tanks are covered with tensioned anti-algae covers, supported by a center pole.

Water tanks support greenhouse irrigation efficiency

The water tanks are used for irrigation of vegetables mainly inside the greenhouses of the complex. These greenhouses extend the growing season and protect crops against adverse weather conditions. Lebanon experiences extreme weather, such as heatwaves and frost. Additionally, these NPI water storage tanks help manage the greenhouse’s water use, which is crucial in a region prone to drought. With drip irrigation systems connected to the water tanks, this grower can use water more efficiently.
