What they are and why they save transport costs

Our water tanks are built from rings of metal panels, with a film liner inside. We normally supply these metal panels in one standard length. But did you know that we also can supply our metal panels in a shorter length? What are the advantages of these short panel tanks? We explain it in this blog.

Our standard water tanks use 305 cm metal panels. These tanks are mainly sold in the Dutch and European market. We call these our long panel tanks.

With many years of experience in water storage, we also created the option to order the panels in a shorter length. These panels are 225 cm long and come with one major benefit: shorter panels mean smaller pallets, and these pallets fit sideways in containers or trucks. They no longer need to be loaded lengthwise, which saves a lot of space during transport. For exported tanks, this can reduce transport costs significantly.

Short panels fit sideways in containers → more tanks per container → lower cost per tank. This makes short panel tanks ideal for international shipments.

225 cm panels are lighter and easier to move. This is helpful in orchards, small construction areas where space is limited, or remote locations. Smaller pallets are easier to place, move, or reposition.

All configurations stay the same. You can choose from all our finishes, including coatings and steel thicknesses. Short panel tanks are fully compatible with all the accessories, outlets and covers we offer.
