Project info
This tank in Sri Lanka serves as intermediate pumping station for a chicken farm. At this farm chickens are kept for the adjacent chicken meat processing factory. Water is needed for several processes at the farm and factory.
There is plenty of water, in the river down the hill. Water is pumped up from this river but the difference in altitude between the river and the location of the farm is considerable, which makes it impossible to get the water pumped straight up to the farm. An NPI water tank was installed halfway up the hill, establishing a buffer location this way. Water from the river is pumped up to the water tank and from the water tank it finds its way up the hill to the farm.
