These two metal water tanks were installed at a hydroponic tomato farm in Portugal by one of our dealers. In hydroponic horticulture, water tanks play a crucial role in the cultivation process. They store water mixed with essential nutrients, which is vital for the growth of tomato plants. Since hydroponics involves growing plants without soil, this nutrient-rich water serves as the primary source of nourishment. Our tanks ensure a reliable and consistent supply of water and nutrients, supporting healthy and productive tomato crops.
The water tanks have a diameter of 18,29 meter and are 2,29 meter high. ENPEX FPP 0,75 mm was applied as lining material. The photos below show the water tanks in installation; later the tanks were also equipped with a tensioned alti algae cover. These covers ensure an optimal protection of the stored water.
