These two metal water tanks are installed at a tomato hydroponics farm in Portugal by one of our dealers. Water tanks on a hydroponic tomato farm play an important role in the growing process of the tomatoes. It stores the water that is mixed with essential nutrients needed for the plants to grow. In hydroponics, plants are grown without soil, so this nutrient-rich water is the primary source of nutrition for the tomato plants. The tanks provide a steady supply of water and nutrients.
The water tanks have a diameter of 18,29 meter and are 2,29 meter high. ENPEX FPP 0,75 mm was applied as lining material. The photos below show the water tanks in installation; later the tanks were also equipped with a tensioned alti algae cover. These covers ensure an optimal protection of the stored water.
