Water tanks at nursery, the Netherlands

Project info

A grower located in the heart of the Dutch tree nursery sector was due for new water tanks. This tree, plant and shrub grower has cultivation fields on 140 hectares of fertile clay soil, made up of film, lava and ground cover. Years ago, these fields were realised as ebb and flow bases, enabling recirculation. All rain- and sprinkling water that falls next to the plants is collected and being carried by pipes to a pumping station. From this pumping station the water is stored in the silos, creating a buffer and minimising the use of tap water.

The tanks have a diameter of 18.29 m and are 3.81 m high. They are equipped with an ENPI Float Aircover.
