Water is key to milk production. Hence, it is indispensable for dairies to have access to good quality drinking water for the cows. It needs to be fresh, clean and free of bacteria and contaminants. The necessity of a fully waterproof cover at this dairy farm in Elvas (Portugal) is due to this fact. This tank is equipped with a FPP anti algae cover.
The water tank is connected to the water feeders across the farm. When the water level lowers below a certain point, the pumping system tops it up again.
