Irrigation tank for a self-sufficient farm and family, Portugal

Project info

This tank was installed on a property located on a remote area in the Algarve mountains. It was installed at a farm and will serve as storage tank for rainwater and water from a borehole during winter and spring. Since this borehole usually dries out on summertime, the customer was looking for a relatively large tank to store sufficient water for the summer.

The farm and family aim to be self-sufficient, so the water will be used for the vegetable’s growth and the family’s water consumption. The water that will be used for human consumption is treated after leaving the tank.

The tank has a diameter 10,97 m and a height of 3,05 m and it was fully installed in under 7 hours by a team of 5 man.
