Increasing need for efficient water management

Due to swift economic expansion and ongoing droughts, Thailand faces an increasing need for drinking water. Efficient water management is crucial to address droughts and mitigate flooding. NPI has played a role in this by installing steel water tanks.

Water-saving programme

In 2016, Thaksin University in Songkhla Province, Thailand, initiated a water-saving programme to promote efficient use of clean drinking water across its campus. To support this initiative, NPI supplied two large metal water storage tanks, each with a capacity of 1,000 m³ and dimensions of 18.21 meters in diameter and 3.81 meters in height. Delivered through our trusted Thai dealer, these tanks are designed to store clean drinking water provided by the government via regular truck deliveries. The steel roofs of the tanks ensure the water remains clean and protected from external contaminants.

Commitment to sustainability

By implementing these storage solutions, Thaksin University has enhanced its water management system, ensuring a reliable and sustainable water supply for its students and staff. This initiative aligns with broader efforts in Thailand to improve water resource management and reduce dependency on groundwater sources. The university’s commitment to sustainability is reflected in its approach to water conservation, demonstrating a model for other institutions in the region to follow.
